Money is an example of a really bad product manager. The user interface get's better each version in some ways, and worse in others.
Money 2002 gave me some new features to help manage my 401k and other things, but then they went and broke the way the online-update of stocks works. In fact that's been consistent since Money 95... each version fixes somethings and in the process breaks existing functionality. The worst was Money98 as I recall. I've bought Money95, 97, 98, 2000 and 2002... But 2002 works well enough that I won't be upgrading any further. Quicken isn't any better in this regard, either. :( |
