Microsoft, AOL ink Windows XP pact | |

America Online Inc. and Microsoft Corp. have reached a tentative agreement under which the AOL 6.0 client will be bundled into Windows XP, sources close to both companies said late Thursday. The sources said the agreement stipulated that AOL was currently required to deliver AOL 6.0 for Windows XP, known as the Steppenwolf client, by mid-July. As such, it was sending a team of developers and other staff to the Redmond campus for several weeks to work on integration issues around the bundling, followed by another visit to test application compatibility. | ||

Everyone was laughing when MS claimed that the DOJ was stiffling their innovation, now look at this. AOL cries "WOLF" to the DOJ and asserts that MS is abusing it's "monopoly power" with Windows XP, and now MS has to bend over and allow AOL to do whatever they want with WinXP. Hell, why don't we just give up now, make the country communist and appoint Hillary Clinton as premiere for life so she can abolish all the corporations and take all the money from the rich and give it to the poor. |

| #7 Don't give me that crap. There are more new features in XP than there have been in any previous Windows release. This is going to be a great OS. |
