ActiveWin Exclusive: Microsoft has just released an update for Windows Media Player that includes the functionality of all of the previously-released patches for Windows Media Player 6.4, 7.1, and Windows Media Player for Windows XP. It also removes the following three newly-discovered security vulnerabilities that are described in the following Microsoft Knowledge Base articles:
In addition to these security fixes, this rollup contains the following fixes:
Pick the version of your media player below, to start downloading the security fix. Note that the update is also available on WindowsUpdate. Windows XP users will see their version of the Windows Media Player 8.0 updated to build 8.00.00.4482. | ||
