The new and official version 4.0 of Intel's chipset drivers has been finalized and is now available for download. The IntelŪ Chipset Software Installation Utility installs the Windows INF files for Windows 98SE, Windows Me, Windows 2000 & Windows XP. Those files inform the operating system how to properly configure the chipset for specific functionality, such as AGP, USB, Core PCI, and ISAPNP services. The major new feature of this release is the support of the new ICH4 component. It supports every Intel chipset available to date, including:
