I have literary pretensions – and make no mistake about it – they are pretensions. I think about clever things to say and great or at least easily explainable headlines and turns of phrase – even soundbites that can be repeated – or in the 21st century – retweeted. Yet there are times when simple is better and simplest is best because the complexities of the subject at hand require simplification – or else obfuscation reigns. This is one of those times. I’m going to attempt to explain what I think I saw and heard at the Microsoft analyst summit last week – which is a company righting its ship and building out the pieces that support that realignment and redirection. | ||
