Microsoft Bringing Multi-Touch Screens to the Big Time | |

Nearly everyone is familiar with multi-touch screens, which allow users to make several finger gestures at once on the screens of their smartphones and tablets. Now, Microsoft is trying to push that technology into the world of desktop computing and beyond, with the acquisition of Perceptive Pixel. Microsoft said Monday it was buying the New York based startup, which has offices in a handful of places including Mountain View, Calif., Portland and Washington, D.C., for an undisclosed sum. | ||
