Microsoft Kinect ditched the game controller. Now, "Beamtron" is threatening the screen. Over the past couple of weeks, Microsoft researchers have showed off several innovations, including Beamtron, that further blur the line between real and virtual. Beamtron uses a pan-tilt unit, such as those often found attached to spotlights in dance clubs, Microsoft researcher Andy Wilson explained in a video (posted above). "What we've done is replace the spotlight with a projector and a Kinect camera." | ||
