Time: 16:00 EST/21:00 GMT | News Source: DigiTimes | Posted By: Julien Jay

Asustek Computer recently launched a new Pentium 4 motherboard, the ASUS P4T533-C. Equipped with Intel’s latest RDRAM-based 850E chipset, the P4T533-C board can support 533/400MHz FSB (front-side bus) P4 processors up to 2.4GHz and beyond. With the high bus speed, Asustek’s P4T533-C is able to offer a peak bandwidth of 4.2GB/s, allowing optimal performance for game, entertainment and other complex applications. Designed with four RIMM slots, the new motherboard can support up to 2GB of PC1066/PC800 RIMM modules. Steve Chen, vice president of sales for Rambus, said, “The P4T533-C with 1066MHz RDRAM is another example of ASUS’s ability to deliver leading-edge, performance desktop motherboard products.” The P4T533-C also features abundant onboard options. Six-channel audio is available with an optional Realtek software CODEC and S/PDIF out interface, while an optional Intel PHY delivers reliable LAN connectivity right out of the box. Other innovative specifications of the P4T533-C include the POST Reporter that speaks when errors occur during boot-up, Q-Fan for intelligent and quiet fan speed control and EZ Flash for instantaneous BIOS updates.
