MSNBC, the joint news venture between General Electric Co.'s NBC and software giant Microsoft Corp., said Tuesday it has named Jerry Nachman to the newly created position of editor-in-chief in the wake of a series of changes at the news cable channel. Nachman has previously worked as editor-in-chief of the New York Post, news director for WNBC-TV in New York City and as an on-air street radio and television reporter. At MSNBC, he will also host an hour of an analysis each afternoon, the news channel said in a statement.
