CeBIT: 2.3 Gbytes MO Drive with USB 2.0 | |

At the CeBIT Fujitsu presents an external 2.3 Gbytes MO drive in 3.5 inches format with USB 2.0 interface, the DynaMO2300-U2. The drive is downwards compatible to all MO standards up to now. Fujitsus 2.3 Gbytes MO drive offers an internal data transfer rate of up to 8.38 Mbytes/s. And by means of the USB 2.0 interface the full performance of the drive can really be used. USB provides a maximum bandwidth of 60 Mbytes/s. The manufacturer estimates an access time for the DynaMO2300-U2 of 19 ms. To maintain a continual data flow Fujitsu has got a 8 Mbytes big data buffer for the drive. Although the das DynaMO2300-U2 has a rotation speed of 5455 RPM according to Fujitsu it shall work nearly noiseless. | ||
