Version 2 of the free-as-in-beer Offline Virtual Machine Servicing Tool is online. V2 replaces version 1 gives you new support for Hyper-V, Virtual Machine Manager 2008, and Windows Server 2008. In addition, version 2 of the tool supports System Center Configuration Manager 2007 SP1, System Center Configuration Manager 2007 R2, and Windows Server Update Services 3.0 SP1.
When you install this Solution Accelerator, the installer determines which version of System Center Virtual Machine Manager resides on the target computer, and configures the Offline Virtual Machine Servicing Tool 2.0 accordingly. Note: Certain features of the tool are only available when it is installed with System Center Virtual Machine Manager 2008.
