BlueTrack to be new Microsoft mouse standard | |

This wasn't exactly a well-kept secret, but Microsoft executive Robbie Bach today confirmed that the company will offer a new type of tracking technology in its mice, replacing the ubiquitous red lasers. The company says the BlueTrack technology is designed to let mice work on a variety of rough surfaces, not just flat desks or mouse pads. At an event in downtown Seattle this morning, Bach said the technology will be introduced on selected mice, but eventually "flow through" to the rest of the company's mice. Bach said mouse tracking is a subject of personal interest for him, because he often has trouble using existing mice on the tray tables on Alaska Airlines flights. | ||
