Microsoft Corp. Chairman Bill Gates (news - web sites) conceded in court on Tuesday that two rival companies hobbled by Microsoft's anticompetitive tactics had the potential to challenge the Windows operating system. Gates had testified that the Netscape Navigator Internet browser and Sun Microsystems Inc.'s Java programming language "supposedly" had the potential to become software platforms that could compete with Windows. | ||
