New Microsoft Beta HTML Newsgroups Testing

"Starting today, and lasting for the rest of the week, we will be running a pilot for WebNews, the HTML based newsgroups. WebNews is an online place for testers to post messages in an open forum. Similar to existing betanews newsgroup services, access is restricted to users enrolled in a specific beta program." Benefits of WebNews newsgroups:

a.. Web-based newsreaders are easy to use and especially popular for beginners since they don't need to install anything new.
b.. All Microsoft newsgroups are available through both a Web-based newsreader (WebNews) and an NNTP newsreader, such as Outlook Express. You will be able to read and post to the beta newsgroups through either the WebNews client or Outlook Express.
c.. WebNews site includes an easy to follow User's Guide and a list of Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ).

"Once you are connected, use WebNews to read and post messages just as you would using Outlook Express or any other newsreader. We want you to experience WebNews for posting to newsgroups and test ease of use compared to the traditional newsreader."
