Apple Computer and Sony recently raised prices. Others, including Hewlett-Packard, Dell Computer and Compaq Computer, are giving customers fewer features for their money. The increases are startling for the fiercely competitive PC industry. PC prices have dropped -- though slight upticks occasionally occur -- since 1995, says research firm IDC. | ||
