IT pros fear spyware more than viruses | |

During 2007, spyware has been IT professionals' biggest security concern. The Computer Technology Industry Association (CompTIA) surveyed 1,070 businesses earlier this year. Some 55 percent of those polled reported spyware as their top concern; in particular, respondents said the volume of spyware they have to combat had increased in the previous 12 months. "Spyware was rarely mentioned as a concern just a few years ago," said John Venator, president and CEO at CompTIA, in a statement. CompTIA commissioned the survey, which was conducted by TNS, a marketing research group. | ||
