This week the Windows Embedded group released Windows Embedded 6.0 and Scott Davis invited me over to talk about gadgets, where things are going, and why you may not have as many cables in the future. Embedded systems are quickly becoming the norm, from digital picture frames and remote controls in your living room to the GPS in your car. In coming years, our gadgets will update over the Internet, communicate with each other, notify us of state by text message, and let us use them from a distance.
