Major blames GOW map pricing on Epic costing them 1 Billion Dollars | |

The furore surrounding Microsoft's decision to charge 800 MS points for new Gears or War map content which the developers wanted to be released for free took a new turn last night when Microsoft Xbox PR mouthpiece Major Nelson lost all sense of reality and blamed the pricing on the fact that Epic cost Microsoft 1 Billion Dollars when Epic told them they wanted 512mb of memory in the 360 rather than the original 256 that was planned. Stop me if I'm wrong here, but it seems they have forgotten that if they hadn't listened to Epic there would be a load of titles coming out that don't look anywhere near as good as now and Gears of War probably wouldn't have been the system seller it became. So maybe instead of moaning about how much they cost the company they should be praising them for helping Microsoft make a good decision. Anyway, the Podcast is out now and features more PR banter than you can shake a stick at, along with more mocking of Microsoft's customers who didn't want to pay for the Gears of War update. | ||
