- The first public beta of Windows Server virtualization, codenamed Viridian, will now be available in the second half of 2007, not in H1 as previously disclosed. Windows Server virtualization is still scheduled to be available within 180 days of the release of Windows Server “Longhorn”.
- There is no change in the schedule for Windows Server “Longhorn.” It remains on track for beta 3 in the 1H 2007 and RTM in the second half of 2007.
- Virtual Server 2005 R2 service pack 1, which was due to be available by the end of Q1, will now be available in Q2. In the interim, by the end of April customers and partners can download and use a Release Candidate (RC) version.
