Micro-Star International (MSI) on May 21 introduced new Pentium 4-platform motherboards based on Intels forthcoming 865 (Springdale) series chipsets. For the product line using Intels 865PE discrete chipset, MSI offers a total of six models with different features. The Neo series consists of the 865PE Neo and 865PE Neo-L. Paired with Intels ICH4 south bridge chips, the new boards support six USB 2.0 ports and feature one AGP 8x graphics port and six PCI slots. With two DDR SIMM slots, the Neo series boards offer a memory capacity of 2GB. The 865PE Neo-L, built with Realteks 8101L chip, also supports 10/100 Ethernet. | ||
