Last year, the Electronic Entertainment Expo was the place to be if you wanted your first look at the next generation of console gaming. It was also a battleground for positioning between Sony and Microsoft for control of your attention. Microsoft announced its pre-E3 press event for the Monday night before the show, then Sony trumped the competition by announcing its press event would be held several hours before Microsoft's (something that has never happened before). Not to be outdone, Microsoft announced an MTV special that would air a few days before either press event (although MS claims the event had been planned for awhile). | ||
