Newly merged AOL Time Warner and Microsoft Network, the Internet arm of software giant Microsoft are squaring off in a battle for online supremacy that is worth billions of dollars.While AOL Time Warner is moving quickly to integrate its large entertainment and content arsenal after completing a US$106.2 billion merger in January, Microsoft plans to build a better mousetrap and find ways to make more money. Microsoft's plan calls for new cash cows, including a digital music subscription service and better instant messaging, to challenge AOL's dominance. Microsoft also considers itself better suited to making technological changes, and has an advantage overseas. | ||
