A beleaguered personal computer industry searching for signs of recovery didn't get any help Thursday from Microsoft as the tech bellwether predicted PC sales would sink further in the first half of this year. ``We believe it is too early to assume that a recovery is under way in the major economies of the world,'' said Microsoft Chief Financial Officer John Connors during a conference call on the company's second-quarter earnings report. As a result, he predicted PC sales would decline further through June and that corporate spending on technology would remain weak. | ||
