When my brother was a small child he once brought the house down in church when before proceedings started he asked our aunt when God was going to come out. Sitting in the Las Vegas Hilton, waiting for Bill Gates to emerge for his keynote speech at the Consumer Electronics Show, did not feel dissimilar. Although, unlike the Almighty, Mr Gates did eventually come on stage and do his thing, before he started he was already “all around us” as God was - as my aunt had told my brother all those years ago. In this case, however, he was on our laptops and PDAs, on the big screen in front of us and in a few cases, on our cellphones. | ||
