Microsoft’s Xbox press briefing at E3 answered Sony’s EyeToy challenge. Xbox Live Chat features five people videoconferencing over USB webcams simultaneously. It is yet to be confirmed whether the service, developed by Xbox Japan, would be an adapter to turn any PC webcam into an Xbox one, or (as is the case with Sony’s EyeToy) it would actually be a custom-built webcam. Either way, Xbox Live Chat is due to launch late summer/autumn in Japan. | ||
