SOMETIMES a story comes along that, although it doesn’t appear to be red-hot news on a superficial level, has far-reaching implications. Last week, AssetMatrix — a Canadian market research outfit, issued the results of its regular survey of desktop operating systems in the corporate world. Apparently, Windows 2000 is once again the most widely used desktop operating system with large-scale users, by a comfortable margin. It’s been that way for years. | ||
