Apple hit with hot battery recall | |

Apple has issued a recall notice for approximately 128,000 batteries in iBook and PowerBook models sold from October 2004 to May 2005. The voluntary recall affects batteries manufactured by LG Chem and fitted in 12in iBooks and 12in and 15in PowerBooks. The recall follows a warning from the US Consumer Product Safety Commission, which found that an internal short circuit could cause the batteries to overheat, posing a fire hazard. | ||
