The title of Digital Extremes' Pariah refers to the main character, Dr. Jack Mason. In the impending shooter, which takes place in the 26th century, he's a man who is simply burned out, with nothing left to lose. Following a recent court martial, you have been cast out from the mainstream of society and reassigned from the front lines to a transport detail carrying hazardous materials for the military. It's a completely mundane, mechanical job until the day your ship is shot down while carrying a quarantined prisoner, and you find yourself stranded deep within a hostile, lawless prison sector. | ||
