THERE IS HUGE interest over Microsoft's next generation Windows Longhorn operative system and we have found that people are just as interested in its graphic engine. It's called Avalon and will represent the step forward in graphic engines. Avalon consists of a display engine and a managed code framework. For the first time, Avalon will unify how Windows creates displays and manipulates documents, media and the user interface. This should be a step forward for developers and designers as it will allow them to create new things. This will definitely be a step forward for users, Microsoft believes. | ||
