Hardware Zone has posted a review of LG's all-format DVD writer, the GSA-4163B. While its 16x DVD+R/DVD-R and 4x DVD+R DL write speeds are shared by other drives, the LG drive is the first to offer 8x DVD+RW and 6x DVD-RW writing. But with so many other choices, is this the drive worth picking up?Here's a snippet from the review: As a DVD writer, LG's latest product, the GSA-4163B did its job splendidly well. It was able to detect every single piece of media thrown at it. Though conservative write speeds were assigned to a few pieces of DVD media, the drive by design engages the safest writing strategy. On one hand, the drive may appear to be a little fussy with media, but if we were to look at it from a basic media compatibility standpoint, the GSA-4163B was a drive that did not reject a single piece of DVD media.Read the entire review over at the Hardware Zone web site. | ||
