There's only one problem with Microsoft's Service Pack 2, a key upgrade to the popular Windows XP operating system: It turns some computers into large, expensive doorstops. Microsoft says that it used unprecedented care preparing the 256-MB package, which became available in mid-August, and that most problems with it -- including a tendency to freeze some computers, rendering them useless -- are known and can be remedied with some effort. | ||
