Microsoft released a test version of its new Windows Media Player 10 on Wednesday, giving a sneak peek at upcoming features including, most significantly, the ability to play music from several digital music subscription services like Napster and to share the music with a slew of portable music devices.
Microsoft released the so-called technical beta to enthusiasts and will solicit them for feedback. The company will release the final version in the fall, alongside compatible portable multimedia devices by Creative Technology, iRiver and Samsung, to name a few.
