Discusses the Media Integration Layer, the low-level rendering technology in "Avalon," the presentation subsystem of the upcoming "Longhorn" release of the Windows operating system. Don Box often likes to tease the Avalon team by saying that we work for the "Blinking Lights" division. Of course, Don misses that we not only are in charge of the blinking lights, but also the switches that make the lights blink, and the paper that is spewing out of the daisy wheel printer in the corner (not pictured). | ||
