Philips To Demonstrate Dual Layer DVD Writer At CeBIT | |

German website PC-WELT.de is reporting that Philips plans to demo their first dual layer DVD+R/RW drive at CeBIT this year. In what is definitely good news on the speed front, the DVDRW 885K will write the first layer at 8x and the second layer at 2.4x. Single layer DVD+RW media will be written at 4x. CD-R media will be written at 24x and CD-RW media at 10x. They expect the drive to be available in July, though no price has yet been announced. | ||
