Profits and productivity gains created by the use of email and Web sites may soon be lost, warns renowned security expert Stephen Cobb, who fears consumers will be driven from the Internet by the rising tide of spam and malicious code. Cobb predicts that, without rapid and widespread deployment of improved technology to defeat these threats, 2004 will be the worst year ever for security incidents and privacy breaches. | ||
