Sony releases new DRU-530A firmware

Sony Japan has released a new firmware update for the DRU-530A recordable drive, but no, its not the promised 8x DVD-R support release. According to their website, this new firmware improves the drives' reading performance. If you can read Japanese, check out Sony Japan's site. Otherwise, you can download the firmware directly from here.
