The VeriSign Global Server Intermediate Root CA for IIS expired on January 7, 2004
Time: 00:00 EST/05:00 GMT | News Source: ActiveWin.com | Posted By: Robert Stein

This problem occurs because the old VeriSign [128-bit SSL] Global Server Intermediate Root certification authority expires on January 7, 2004. Servers that are running IIS that have not been updated with the new Global Server Intermediate Root certification authority may encounter problems when they try to establish SSL sessions by using the Secure Hypertext Transfer Protocol after January 7, 2004. Note This problem does not affect servers that use VeriSign [40-bit] Secure Server ID certificates
