One of the forum posters over at CDRLabs.com has found a new firmware for Sony's original dual-format DVD recorder, the DRU-500A. While nothing is currently known about the new firmware, the poster implies that it solves the problem of writing Princo 4x DVD-R media at 4x. According to the firmware file dates, it was released on January 6th of this year.
