Just in from Buena Vista Home Entertainment is the announcement of the under-rug-swept political comedy Buffalo Soldiers, which sat on the shelf for over a year and was then quietly released in only a few theaters this past fall. This incendiary hot potato stars Joaquin Phoenix, Ed Harris and Anna Paquin, and will at last get a DVD release on January 13th. The set includes a 2.35:1 anamorphic widescreen transfer and Dolby Digital 5.1 surround track, plus an audio commentary by director Gregory Jordan, the "Beyond the Iron Curtain" featurette, an "Anatomy of a Scene" TV special and theatrical trailers. Retail is $29.95. | ||
