A former Microsoft employee has been sentenced to 17 months in prison for ordering software meant for corporate use and selling it for personal gain, local authorities say. John McKay, United States Attorney for the Western District of Washington, said in a statement on Tuesday that Kori Robin Brown, 31, ordered more than $6 million (3.5 million pounds) worth of database software that was sold to other parties. Because the products were sent via mail, Brown was convicted of mail fraud. | ||
