he Apple G5 dualsupercluster appears on pages 53 and 55 of thedraft report on top-500 supercomputers (dated November 2nd). A system with 2200 processors is listed on page 53, and a smaller system of 256 processors is listed on page 55. The big system ('Big Mac') is installed at Virginia Tech. Perhaps there is already another G5 supercluster? Or the second appearance is due to a subsystem of the big supercluster? Note that the smaller system achieves an impressive efficiency of 80% of the peak speed. And the big system achieves now over 10 teraflop/s | ||
