Microsoft angst could be solved with creativity | |

Angst is bad, Microsoft Chief Executive Steve Ballmer told Seattle Times technology reporter Brier Dudley recently, explaining why the company was replacing stock options with stock grants. The assumption is that the certainty of grants — money in the pocket, even if the stock declines — will erase the angst and permit employees to get back to focusing on building great software. It's a valiant sentiment in these turbulent times, and one worth examining as Microsoft begins a new fiscal year. | ||
