The corrected widescreen versions of Back to the Future II and Back to the Future III have been completed and Universal Home Video has begun shipping them both to retail stores and to consumers who called in for an exchange on their discs. If you were lucky enough to avoid the mail-in mess and have just waited through this fiasco like I have, the corrected discs will show up in stores in box sets labeled "v2" (look for the "v2" to be printed on the back of the packaging near the bar code sticker, as well as on the discs themselves right after the "All Rights Reserved" fine print).
If you have the original DVDs and need to get them exchanged for the corrected ones, here is the most recent contact information:
Call 888-703-0010 (US) or 866-532-2202 (Canada)
Email at universalstudios&dreamworks@leemarketing.com
Send the discs (and discs alone - no packaging) to:
Back to the Future DVD Returns
PO Box 224468
Dallas, Texas 75260
When you send them back, be sure to include your name, phone, and mailing address. Also specifically state that you are exchanging them because you wanted the corrected widescreen versions of the DVDs.
