Stardock to launch WindowBlinds 3 at Microsoft | |

For those wanting to natively change the Windows XP Start bar (along with the rest of the GUI), WindowBlinds 3 will be the easiest way to do it. In the above screenshot, more than just the Start button can be modified, the entire bar and menu can be as well as the entire Windows XP GUI. This will be included with WindowBlinds 3 which will be a free download in October. The formal beta will begin on the 26th for users of Object Desktop (www.objectdesktop.com). It will be based on the WindowBlinds XP betas. Stardock will be announcing WindowBlinds 3 from Microsoft on September 26. Speakers from both Stardock and Microsoft will outline the advantages of Windows XP as a platform and how WindowBlinds and more generally Object Desktop can allow you to customize Windows XP to fit your specific uses. While some people like to criticize Microsoft, it should be pointed out that while one OS vendor was threatening lawsuits to its developers trying to customize its latest OS, Microsoft was adding APIs to Windows XP to make it easier for third parties such as Stardock to customize it.
