Microsoft unveils DirectX 9 enhancements

Microsoft has made enhancements to the multimedia development capabilities of its DirectX 9 application programming interface for the games development community. The announcement, made at this week's Game Developers Conference 2003, highlighted advanced functionality in the software giant's High-Level Shader Language (HLSL).
