Many companies have been badly affected by the latest in a long series of worms. This one, named Sapphire, or alternatively SQL Slammer, was only small but managed to bring the Internet to a standstill in parts and badly affect some corporate networks. In total it is estimated that more than 120,000 computers were affected. One of the companies affected was Microsoft, which is surprising when you consider that it is a Microsoft flaw, discovered over six months ago, that the worm exploits. | ||
