Microsoft Releasing Media Programs With Better Sound, Licensing | |

Microsoft Corp., which is trying to sell more media software for computer servers and consumer devices, will tomorrow release upgraded versions of programs to broadcast and play audio and video over the Internet. The world's biggest software maker tomorrow will make its Windows Media 9 programs available for download, lead product manager Michael Aldridge said. They include software for playing audio and video on personal computers, server software for distributing media files, and tools that make it easier to plug Windows Media formats into consumer products such as DVD players. | ||
