Microsoft, which has amassed cash and short-term investments of $40.5 billion, may be considering a plan to pay a dividend for the first time, a Salomon Smith Barney analyst said. The world's largest software maker appears "to be polling money managers" on dividends, Tobias Levkovich wrote in a note to investors yesterday. | ||
