Ex-Microsoft exec released pending trial for software theft | |

A former Microsoft manager accused of stealing and selling more than $9 million of software from the company was released from custody Friday awaiting his trial. U.S. Magistrate John Weinberg ordered Daniel Feussner released on a $100,000 bond, with the condition that he remain electronically monitored at his Sammamish home. Feussner, formerly director of one of Microsoft's high-profile .NET projects, was arrested and fired Dec. 11. He has been accused of ordering Microsoft software by saying he needed it for his project, and then selling it to underwrite a lavish lifestyle. | ||
