Inviting Spider-Man fans to a world premiere online event, Columbia TriStar Home Entertainment and Cingular Wireless will treat owners of the recent Spider-Man 2-Disc DVD to a first-ever live audio commentary with stars Toby Maguire and JK Simmons on Sunday December 15th. The "'Spider-Man' DVD-ROM Online Theatre" requires the disc to be popped in your web-enabled ROM playback device, with the streamed Windows Media audio commentary being sync'd to a playback of the film.

Fans can begin logging on at 7:30 p.m. EST, and a number of pre-show activities will kick off the event, including an introduction from Simmons, a guide to the DVD's hidden Easter eggs, previews for other Columbia DVDs and theatrical titles, and an exclusive sweepstakes with top prize being a walk-on in the Spidey sequel. The commentary is set to begin at 8:00 p.m. EST. For complete details on how to participate, log on to the official website.
